For My GrandDaughter Lauren

The other day I received the following email from my daughter-in-law about my Grand Daughter Lauren:

"Lauren was sharing with her class that you once worked with the dixie chicks and that you have a music studio as part of a share-something-about-yourself thing. Sounds like a few of the girls didn't believe her, and are saying she... is lying (she came home in tears). Is there any chance you can take a photo or two of the awards on your wall and the equipment in your studio? I know it sounds ridiculous, but it would make Lauren feel better."

So, I made her this:

This is a picture of the cover of one of the official books about the Dixie Chicks. It's available on Amazon at this link and the next few pictures will show you what is on the inside.
This is a picture of one of the pages inside the book. Click the picture to make the image bigger and read what it says.

This is a picture of one of the photos that are in the book. Notice that is a much younger Grandpa Larry with the cute girl putting her arm around him. (that girl is Laura and she quit the group shortly after this photo was taken) Notice Martie on the left and Emily on the right. That's Lloyd Maines just behind me on pedal steel. His is the father of Natalie Maines... the singer who would eventually replace Laura.
This is a picture of a page from the book that lists the CD credits. Click the picture to make the image bigger and read what it says.
This is a picture of one of the CD's that I produced for the Dixie Chicks. It's called "Little 'ol Cowgirl" and you can read about it here.

This is a closeup view of the credits on the back cover of one of the CD's that I produced for the Dixie Chicks. Notice credit is given to me (Larry Seyer) and the Dixie Chicks. (you can't make this up girls)
This is a picture of the same CD folded out.
This is a picture of some of my equipment that I use in my recording studio called Electric LarryLand

This is a picture of some of my Grammy Awards.
This is a picture of me working with George Martin. Who is George Martin? He is the producer of the Beatles. Who are the Beatles? That's the group that Paul McCartney played in before "Wings".
This is an award that I got for being one of the first people to server as governor of NARAS (the Grammy Board).
This is an award that I got for working with George Strait in celebration of selling over 3 million records.
This is a picture of a plaque given to me by Laura of the Dixie Chicks in commemoration of our first proejct that we worked on together.
This is a picture of some of the awards that are on my studio wall.
This is a picture of some more awards.
Just remember Lauren, that no matter where you go or what you do, there will always be people who do not believe you. Don't listen to them and do not give it a second thought. You know what is right in your heart even if they don't.
