What You Believe is...

I have been contemplating the concept of "God is Everything" for a while now...

One of the things that I've been struggling with is the realization that if the "God is Everything" statement is true, then I am at the very least a PART of God.

This has some interesting ramifications to my perceptions of the world...  And I will share them with you.

Clearly, I do not normally demonstrate powers that are typically associated with God.  But if I am to accept the statement that "God is Everything" as fact, then not only am I part of 'God', but so are you.

Interesting...  Let's see where this logic takes us.

A logical deduction would be that it would be insane for me to judge you for anything that you do because God is also in you.  And since I do not know the connection that you have with God, it is impossible for me to judge you without also judgeing myself.

It has been said that "perfection is a perfect mirror because a perfect mirror shows nothing of itself, reflects everything shone on it back to the source in perfect detail.

I believe this is why we cannot make judgements of other people.   Because we can only 'see' what God/Others reflect back to us ('God/Others' being the perfect mirror).

Since God living in others is the perfect mirror, any imperfections that we see are actually the imperfections we see within ourselves shined back to us in perfect detail.  (God being the perfect judge).

Note that the perfect mirror (God) does not make judgements of what it reflects back to us... it merely shines exactly what comes to it back to it's source...

So, to continue with my thoughts on 'God is Everyting'...  Everything I have, including my body, my mind, my soul, and all of my thoughts, is part of 'God'.

In fact, if God is everything then there is no place I can be where God is not.

Since I am part of 'God' and obviously I do not believe that I have the powers that God has, then there must be some part of me that believes it is disconnected from God.

And this thought IS insane because if we accept the premise that God is everything, then part of me has forgotten that I am actually connected to God...

In other words, I have somehow tragically seperated myself from God or have been seperated by some other device from the knowledge of God and the Love that God is...

Now we're getting to what is interesting.

Since God is everything, we can also conclude that includes some sort of 'perfection'.

If perfection exists in a perfect mirror (or at least in the CONCEPT of a perfect mirror), then any judgement of imperfection that I have made upon anything that is part of God creats a split in my mind between what is real (God) and what is unreal (my judgements).

Here is the way out of this mess...

And the word is "Forgiveness".

We must forgive everything.

Ultimately, we must forgive ourselves for mistakenly believing that we have 'seen' something imperfect in ourselves.

What I believe seperates me from God are my judgements about what is right and what is wrong.

There can be no judgements of Right or Wrong... Because there is only God and His perfection.

The taking from the fruit of the 'tree of knowledge' of good and evil (right and wrong) is what is attributed to the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Those judgements of 'right' and 'wrong' are what is keeping me from 'seeing' the God's perfection in everything and remembering my place IN Him.

I must forgive both myself for making those judgements, and also each and every thing I have ever experienced where I viewed God's creation as anything but perfect.

"To enter the Kingdom of Heaven, one must think and act as a child"...  (I'm paraphrasing here from 'The Book').

We must forgive those thoughts of evil (BTW, evil is simply live backwards) and remember the face of God by eliminating JUDGEMENTS of ourselves and our brothers and sisters.

It is only through forgiveness that one can remember one's place in God.
