Although the true author is not revealed until midway through the book, you start to get hints about who it is from phrases like:

"Truth is the same for everyone.
All errors deserve correction...not punishment.
God does not accept His Son's belief in what he thinks he is.
To have all...give all.
There is no substitute for Love.


Perfect love casts out fear.
If fear is percieved,
Then perfect love is not percieved.
However, only perfect love exists.
If there is fear,
You are not in your right mind. "


It even gets more interesting when he says:


"Nothing I see... [in this room, on this street, from this window, in this place] means anything" Lesson 1
"Forgiveness is my function of as the light of the world." Lesson 62
"Let miracles replace all grievances." Lesson 342
"God is in everything I see." Lesson 29


And finally, the author's identity is given away when he says:


"When I said, 'My peace I give unto you,' I meant it...  Peace comes from God through me to you."


For those who do not recognize the passages, the author is Jesus Christ.


As with anything anyone reads, we can choose to believe in it or not...  I did many many months of searching and researching the supporting and damming evidence for and against the work contained in the "Course in Miracles" and I came up with the undeniable conclusion for me that this book is the real McCoy.   It was written by the person I believe to be Jesus Christ...

And it is the closest I've been able to come to reading his words save what is written in the bible.

Some of you may not know this, so it is worthwhile to repeat that the book was 'scribed' by Helen Schucman...    Although she does not claim to be the author...  She heard a 'voice' speaking to her that asked her to 'please take notes'...   Eventually she did, and the outcome is "A Course In Miracles".

I never get tired of reading this book because each time I read it, I am reminded that this life is temporary and that everything that I see is my 'projection' of my fears...    It is not real.

And most importantly, it has allowed me to experience peace.  To live it and to know it.
