I really didn't feel like bedding down in Nashville...
Had the urge to go, so I got on the bike and decided to ride until I got tired.
Along the way, I got several cell calls from my friend Jonathan David Brown (another music producer)... He's having computer problems (actually, his main computer crashed and he has a project due today so he was in a panic)
I helped him as much as I could being on a motorcycle 1000's of miles away... Looks like it's reformat-reinstall the operating system time... yuck!
Computers... you love 'em and you hate 'em. It all depends on how they work.
Got to Cookeville and my cell phone was dead from all of the talking done on it... So I decided it was not too smart to be riding a motorcycle late at night without a cell phone... so I started looking for a motel in Cookeville TN.
Stopped in the first motel I found (Hampton Inn) and drove to the front desk... NO VACANCY! (Hurricain Dennis I guess)
Ok, move on to the next... a Country INN... Sure, we got rooms, that will be $98 please... (what? no thanks)
Drove to the Days Inn... NO VACANCY! Then onto the Super 8... Yupe, we got 'em and they're on sale for only $50... sign me up! (and free wireless internet to boot!)
Great nights sleep... checked the map and it's only 5 hours to Deep Gap NC from here... yeah! And this is going to be a PRETTY ride! A lot of it will be in the mountains, so I'm getting my camera ready in case I get inspired.
