To "Push" or not to "Push"

I was recently asked if it was important to push oneself to one's greatest potential, or does it matter whether one lives their life in the mid- or low-range area of their potential...

Here is what I think about that:

I don't think it matters if we push ourselves or not...

Ultimately I believe we exists in this life and on this planet in order to accept the fact the we are all part of God and need only to 'remember' who we are.  This coupled with the knowledge and responsibility that comes with that rememberance will naturally drive one to do those things that are necessary for the continued rememberance to occur.

This is the only logical explanation I have found that can explain our existance here.  For more on my theories on this, please read the following posts when you get a chance:

Basically I am coming around to the understanding that God is not separate from me.   God IS me (along with billions and billions of other people, places, and things in the universe).

My belief in my 'seperation' from God is merely me living inside of a self created 'bubble' designed to 'hide' me from me.

I do not believe that God exists outside of myself, so the concept of having to 'prove' my worthiness to him/her is rediculous.   Nor, do I have to choose 'right' or 'wrong' and have THAT determine if I am worthy to be accepted back into his/her fold.

Because of my belief, the concept of having to 'push' myself to someone's (including myself's) idea of what my 'greatest potential' is is meaningless.  I am living my life and moving in the direction to return to my father (God) and no diversion will steer me away from my path and my source.  My path and my source are one.

The Monks have it right...  The quickest way to enlightenment is to 'turn off' the ways of the world (i.e. shut out the noise here)  and 'remember' the everlasting peace that forever speaks to us during our quiet times.

How's THAT for an answer?
