Today was Father's day... and a good one.
I'm really glad to have been able to see all of my kids today... It means a lot to me that they were here and came by to visit. As one gets older, these things become more important I guess.
Mac and Kim came by with our 2 Grandchildren... We had fun with them as we always do. They love to come to Grandma and Grandpa's house.
A little later, my son Adam dropped by and had supper with us... We even got to play some cards afterwards.... he beat me 3 games out of 3... It wasn't my day for 2 handed Pitch. But it was still fun to spend time with him.
My daughter Ashlei called around 4:00 to say that she was not going to be able to make it until after everyone had already left...
This was a bit disappointing at first...
But she told me that she and her boyfriend Budda had entered into a Pool Tournament and had won... and the playoff game was going to be held at the same time as our supper, so I told her I understand... and to go for it! (this was after I had gotten over my original disapointment)
Ashlei and Budda didn't arrive until almost 11:00 PM this evening... The doorbell rang and my wife Karla and I opened the door and there they were... both holding their own TROPHIES!!!!!! They won first place!
Not only that, but they won a place in the playoffs that are going to be held in Las Vegas in August this year... ( <a href="http://www.poolplayers.com/tournament_info.html">The American Poolplayers Association</a> ).

Although I didn't really expect a present, all of my kids (and my wife) chipped in and got me a really really cool one!
I got a <a href="http://www.xm-radio-satellite.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=293&HS=1">XM2GO</a> XM Satelite Radio along with a free subscription for the service... COOL!!!!! I'm excited!
